Building with Weatherproof
Prior to Installation
- Ensure that all Weatherproof products are stored in a dry environment prior to installation and away from excessive moisture prior to minimise the potential of on-site degrade
- Store all Weatherproof products flat and evenly supported along the full length when stored
- The Weatherproof range is manufactured from radiata pine and works easily with traditional building tools.
Installation and Fixing Selection
- Refer to the Woodhouse Weatherproof Span Tables and Technical Guide in the Literature Downloads section for concise technical and product usage data.
- For all construction issues not covered in the Span Tables, refer to the Building Code of Australia or your local building authority for additional installation and application information.
- The LOSP treatments used in the Weatherproof range are non-corrosive with conventional fixings that have been classified as hot dipped galvanised.
- When cutting, drilling and processing any timber products in the Weatherproof range, ensure that you wear personal protective equipment including gloves, mask and goggles.
Disposing of Offcuts
- All Weatherproof off-cuts or shavings should not be incinerated/burnt in open fires or barbecues, or used in gardens or landscaping. Direct all unusable material towards normal household or building site waste disposal.
